Armando Gama

Armando António Capelo Diniz da Gama ( born April 1, 1954 in Luanda ) is a Portuguese singer and pianist.

He lived until 1971 in Luanda, Angola, and studied piano and music theory at the Academy of Music there. With his move to Lisbon, he became known in Portugal as pop and pop singer. As winner of the Festival da Canção 1983, he was allowed to compete for Portugal at Euro Vision Song Contest 1983 in Munich. With the ballad Esta balada que te dou he went to 13th place. In his 40 - year career, he gave numerous concerts in Portugal, in the 2000s he had regular performances at Casino Estoril.
