Armen Tigranian

Poor Tigranjan (Armenian Արմեն Տիգրանյան; * 14 Dezemberjul / December 26 1879greg in Alexandropol, .. † February 10, 1950 in Tbilisi ) was an Armenian composer.

Tigranjan studied from 1898 to 1902 with Nikolai Klenowski. In Alexandropol He then founded an Armenian National Choir. From 1913 he lived in Tbilisi as a conductor, music teacher and critic. He composed the first Armenian opera Anusch, which was premiered in 1912. In addition to other operas he composed a dance suite for orchestra, the cantata Fifteen years of Soviet -Armenia, incidental music, choral works and songs.
