Armin Wirth

Armin Wirth ( born July 15, 1971 in Traunstein, pseudonym: Dj Swam ) is a German dance DJ, music producer and label manager.

Life

Wirth opened in 1993 and one of the first Internet mail order shops and has opened world's eight other stores in the UK, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic to this day.

In 2001 he founded the record label DANCE ALL DAY with the sublabels Baccara Music, Bootleg Beats, Techno Forza Rec, Vinyl Loop Records, Munich and Vinyl Loops Classics.

With the series vinyl loops Classics Armin Wirth managed with 21 episodes to bring a vinyl series on the market, which includes the Who's Who of Dance-/Elektronischen scene. In 2006 Armin Wirth invented the portal Feiyr for free independent musicians, producers, labels and book publishers. Feiyr is an online portal for the digital music and eBook sales and distributes independent DRM-free music in mp3 on sales portals such as iTunes, Amazon, Spotify or Napster. Feiyr is the only independent music sales, who delivers for the " Big Four " major labels including Universal Music Group, Sony BMG (Sony and BMG joint-venture ), Warner Music Group and EMI Music to Independent Music Stores. Feiyr has delivered in April 2011, over 1.2 million songs under contract and on portals such as iTunes and Amazon.

Armin Wirth bought as managing director and owner of Feiyr in 2013 for 2.3 million euros, financed by the MP3 inventor Karlheinz Brandenburg music platform DJTunes.com.

Litigation

In 2006, Armin Wirth by injunction from the Landgericht Leipzig (Case v. February 8, 2005 - Case No. 5 O 146/ 05) prohibits the word " Deejay " for advertising and marketing to use, in particular the representation of the word to websites and designation of audio hi-fi products. A German online shop owner had claimed that the license holders will all trademark rights on the term " Deejay ".
