Armstrong County is a county located in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 72 392 inhabitants and a population density of 43 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Kittanning.
Geography
The county has an area of 1,721 square kilometers, of which 27 square kilometers are water surface. Armstrong County is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Clarion County, Jefferson County, Indiana County, Westmoreland County, Allegheny County and Butler County.
