Course

The Armuthsbach rises about 1.5 kilometers southwest of Tondorf at an altitude of 531 m above sea level. NN. The source is in the field of Blankenheim. In predominantly eastern directions flowing down the Armuthsbach flows through the village tube. Below the town the river reaches the border to Rhineland- Palatinate. In the further course to the mouth of no other villages are situated on the river. About 400 meters north of the creek is Hümmel, about 900 meters south Wershofen. About 800 meters west of guilt opens the Armuthsbach to 245 m above sea level. NN on the left side in the Ahr.

The Armuthsbach flows through the North Rhine-Westphalian nature reserve Armuthsbach and tributaries.

With a height difference of 286 m, the average bed slope is 15.5 ‰. The 60.526 km ² large catchment area is drained by Ahr and Rhine to the North Sea.
