Army Group D

The Army Group D was a major unit of the Army of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. She was supreme command each changing armies as well as many special forces.

Career

The Army Group D was set up on 26 October 1940 in France from parts of the High Command of Army Group C. On April 15, 1941, she was also Commander in Chief West, and on September 10, 1944 only Commander in Chief West. As of April 22, 1945 the staff as Commander South was responsible for the entire southern region.
