Rønne is a small fishing village with 151 inhabitants ( as of 2010) on the south coast of Bornholm, 8 km south-east of Rønne and borders east to the airport Bornholm.

In historical time Rønne was the first village on Bornholm, whereas there was only free farms in the country.

The special feature of the village is the island's harbor was built in 1883 with Denmark's longest wooden bridge of 200 meters. An action against the silting of a beach near the port. On Bornholm island, there are two ports, the other is in Snogebæk. Today the port from the local fishermen and sport boaters will be used.

In the coastal area are 12-20 m thick limestone formations, the small-area Arnagerkalk from the Upper Cretaceous.

Approx. 1 km east of Rønne mid-1990s were found in the dark clay footprints of dinosaurs in size from 25 to 45 cm and depth of 15 to 30 cm.

On the northern outskirts of the village there is the passage grave of Rønne from the Neolithic Age (about 3200-3000 ).
