Arnaldo Benfenati

Arnaldo Benfenati ( born May 26, 1924 in San Lazzaro di Savena, † June 9, 1986 in Castel San Pietro Terme ) was an Italian cyclist and World Champion.

1947 world champion in the individual pursuit of amateurs Arnaldo Benfenati in Paris. The following year he won the silver medal in the team pursuit at the Olympics in London, together with Guido Bernardi, Anselmo Citterio and Rino Pucci. 1947 and 1948 he was also Italian champion of the amateurs in the pursuit. In 1949, he won as a professional road race Gran Premio della Liberation. In 1952 he retired from active cycling.
