Arnardalshamar Tunnel

The Arnarnessgöng is a road tunnel in the Icelandic West Fjords. The tunnel was created in 1948 and is 30 meters long. Thus, the Arnarnessgöng is the oldest and shortest tunnel in Iceland. It lies a few kilometers south of Isafjordur and pierces Arnarneshamar, a reaching to the sea basalt rocks.

On the other side of Isafjordur is located with the Vestfjarðargöng Islands longest tunnel.
