Arnd Krüger

Arnd Krüger ( born July 1, 1944 in Mühlhausen / Thuringia ) is a German track and field athlete, sports historian, professor and director of sports science institute at the University of Göttingen.

Sporting career

Kruger started as a middle distance to 1967 ( with interruption of starts for UCLA ) for the CSV Marathon Krefeld, then joined Bayer Leverkusen, occurred from 1972 to 1974 in Darmstadt for ASC and let his career with the OSC Berlin and TSV Waake finish. Kruger was 1963 German Vice Champion in the 800 - meter race, 1968 and 1969 he was vice- champion in the 1500 meters. In the hall he was in 1966 and 1969 German champion in the 800 meters. Overall, he was 1962-1976 times German champion and twice German University Champion (1964, 1969). In Kruger National jersey was used eleven times. Career

Krüger studied after graduating from the Gymnasium am Moltkeplatz in Krefeld history, English, philosophy, and sports at the University of Mainz, the University of California, Los Angeles, where in 1967 he earned a bachelor's degree, and the University of Cologne, where he eventually 1971 his doctorate with Erich Angermann. Scandal 2008
