Arne Nyberg

Arne Nyberg ( born June 20, 1913 in Saffle; † August 12, 1970 ) was a Swedish football striker.

Career

Nyberg played for SK Sifhälla. In 1932, he joined IFK Göteborg in the Allsvenskan. By 1950, he was active for the club and won in 1935 and 1942 with the club, the Swedish Championship. Even after the end of his playing career, he worked for the club.

Nyberg also played 31 times for the Blågult. He participated in the World Cup 1938 and each was in each of the three games in the course of the tournament even score a goal. Nevertheless, the final score was only fourth place.

Trivia

Nyberg's son Ralph played his father for IFK Gothenburg in Allsvenskan and was founded in 1958 with the club Swedish champion.
