The Arnhem railway station is the largest railway station in the city of Arnhem ( German: Arnhem ) and the province of Gelderland and a central hub in urban public transport. History

Today's Train Station Arnhem was opened on 14 May 1845. In 1954, a new building, which at that time architect of many railway stations in the Netherlands was designed by the Dutch architect Hermanus Gerardus Jacob Schelling, who built the railway station. He was at the same time opened as the railway line Amsterdam - Arnhem, was continued into the Ruhr over railroad tracks, Oberhausen- Arnhem.

Currently, the station is completely rebuilt and modernized. From 2006 to 2011 was a temporary train station in the operation, which was only accessible by stairs or elevator. July 2011, the new platform tunnel was opened, after which the temporary building was canceled. The construction work is scheduled for completion in 2014.
