Arnie Robinson

Arnie Robinson ( Clarence Earl Robinson Jr., born April 7, 1948 in San Diego, California ) is a former American track and field athlete in the long jump. At a height of 1.88 m his competition weight was 74 kg.

Arnie Robinson placed at the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 with 8.03 meters in third place behind compatriot Randy Williams and Hans Baumgartner ( Federal Republic).

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he won with 8.35 meters in front of Randy Williams.

Arnie Robinson won six times the long jump title of the Amateur Athletic Union, which was only DeHart Hubbard and Ralph Boston succeeded before him.
