The Arno Schmidt Prize - awarded by the Arno Schmidt Foundation and awarded from 1981 to 1988 - was endowed with DM 50,000 each (good 25,000 Euros ). The prize was awarded only four times:

After the award was converted into the two-year Arno Schmidt Scholarship, which is endowed with 36,000 euros.
