Arno Steffenhagen

Arno Steffenhagen (* September 24, 1949 ) is a former German football player.

For 20,000 DM changed the trained printer Steffenhagen 1968 by RFC Alt- Holland from the Berlin district of Reinickendorf to Hertha BSC. However, there were always problems with coach Helmut Kronsbein. Because of this long-haired players did not like, Steffen Hagen was sent at an away game back in the team bus, so the long hair could be cut off him there.

On September 8, 1971 Steffen Hagen came to his only international appearance. In Hanover, Mexico was defeated 5-0 clear. Steffen Hagen was doing in to replace Horst Koeppel.

Therefore, he moved abroad. At first, he played at Hellenic Cape Town, but returned to Europe to hire at Ajax Amsterdam. The return to the Bundesliga took place in 1976. Played two years Steffenhagen for Hamburger SV, with whom he won the 1977 European Cup Winners' Cup. In 1978 he went to the USA to Chicago Sting. In the autumn of 1978 he played because Chicago did not qualify for the championship final, short time for FC St. Pauli. At the end of his career he gave in 1983 for a short guest appearances in Canada at Toronto Blizzard and Vancouver Whitecaps. In 1984, he finished his career.
