Arnobius

Arnobius ( the Elder, also Arnobius Afer, † 330 ) was around the year 300 rhetorician in Veneria Sicca in Numidia. First Arnobius had been a zealous opponent of Christianity, but was converted by a vision of the Christian faith. Then he, the bishop did not believe the sudden change of heart and did not want to include in the Christian community, Arnobius wrote shortly after the persecution of Christians under Diocletian his surviving apology Disputationes adversus gentes, also known as Adversus nationes to prove his faith.
