Arnold (Nottinghamshire)

Arnold is a north- eastern suburb of Nottingham situated on the outskirts and belongs to the district of Gedling. The city has about 35,900 inhabitants Arnold (as of 2000). The name comes from what Ernehale as much as valley of eagles ( Eagle Valley ) means.

Industry

Numerous factories and production sites of the hosiery industry have settled in this city. However, Arnold is famous for its brewery, founded in 1875, with a Robin Hood - campaigned logo on their products. She remained independent until 1986 and was subsequently taken over by Scottish & Newcastle for 123 million pounds, along with the 450 corresponding inns.

Education

In Arnold, there are several comprehensive schools, primary schools and special schools. As in many industrial suburbs is also in Arnold juvenile delinquency is a perennial problem.

Religion
