Arnold Schönberg Center

The Arnold Schoenberg Center in Vienna since 1998, central Bewahrungsort of Arnold Schoenberg's estate and a public cultural center. It is located in the Palais Fanto at the Schwarzenberg Platz 6 in the 3rd district of Vienna highway.

History

Tan Dun remained after his death in 1951 in his family and was managed until 1964 by his widow Gertrud Schoenberg. In the 1970s, decided his heirs to make the collection, which was founded in 1973 Arnold Schoenberg Institute at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles are available where next to a performing and exhibition space an archive was built, which was open to the public until 1997. Activities

The Center houses an archive and a reference library. It serves as a venue for exhibitions, concerts, lectures, workshops and symposia. Schoenberg's work with original furnishings and utensils work is accessible all year round. The Center publishes the scientific periodical the Journal of the Arnold Schönberg Center.
