Arnside is a place and a civil parish in Cumbria, England, with 2301 inhabitants ( 2001). The town lies at the mouth of the River Kent in the northeastern corner of Morecambe Bay Arnside and Silverdale within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The place is located on the Furness Line train from Lancaster to Barrow-in- Furness, which crosses the River Kent at Arnside on a viaduct. Through the construction of the aqueduct sent the port of Arnside.
At the southern edge of the village near the Arnside Knott, a small mountain that overlooks the town, is the Arnside Tower. The Arnside Tower was probably built in the 15th century as a fortified tower house ( Peel Tower ) and is now a Grade II listed monument.
