Aroab is a village in the constituency Keetmanshoop country in southeastern Namibia, 35 km west of a border post in the South African Rietfontein and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park.

The place is located in the traditional settlement area of ​​the Nama to the Rivier " Aub ", to which many seasonal Haakdoring ( asparagus plants; " guide of souls " in Nama ) grow, hence the name Aroe Aub derived. In 1900 Aroab was settled by farmers who temporarily fled to Rietfontein during the Namakrieges. 1913 was the place its first retail.

Today Aroab is an agricultural community with a Protestant church and various schools.
