Aroania (. Αροάνεια Greek (n. pl), also transcribed as Aroaneia; alternative name Chelmos Greek Χελμός ( f sg ) ) is a mountain massif in the north of the Peloponnese in the east of Achaia in Greece landscape with a maximum height of 2341 m. The name derives from the Slavic word Chelmos Chelm хълм for, Mountain ' from.

The mountain massif Aroania extends over 15 to 20 km from north to south and about 5 to 10 km from west to east. On the eastern flank of the town Aroania Kalavryta located on the border of Achaia to the Peloponnese region and the Regional District of Corinthia. There is also the ski resort of Kalavryta At the same edge in the northern part of the massif. The Aroania is the third highest mountain in the Peloponnese and one of the twenty highest mountains in Greece. The second highest mountain in the Peloponnese, Kyllini lies to the east of Aroania. From the Aroania massif rises the river Vouraikos and flows to the northwest into the Gulf of Corinth. The Aroania has several caves and peaks.
