Arp 273

Arp 273 is a pair of interacting galaxies 300 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda lie.

The group was first described in 1966 in the Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies by Halton Arp. The larger of the spiral galaxies, UGC 1810, has about five times more mass than the smaller one. The smaller galaxy, UGC 1813, shows clear signs of active star formation in its core and has probably recently traversed the greater.
