The Arpe is a 8.7 km long, orographic left tributary of the Wenne in North Rhine -Westphalia, Germany. The creek flows to the west of Hochsauerlandkreises and should not be confused with the eponymous creek Arpe the Wenne at Niederberdorf.

Geography

The Arpe springs on the northeast flank of the mountain Estonians ( 610.4 m) at an altitude of 500 m above sea level. NN. From here, the creek flows mainly to the north and then flows Greven stone. In the mountains the creek flows at an altitude of 245 m above sea level. NN on the left into the Wenne.

On its 8.7 km long road of Bach overcomes a difference in altitude of 255 m, corresponding to an average bed slope of 29.3 ‰. The Arpe drains a 19.599 km ² large catchment area over Wenne, Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea.

The most important tributary of the Arpe is the 5.7 km long Enscheider Bach.
