Arrondissement of Auxerre

The Arrondissement Auxerre is an administrative unit of the French Department Yonne in the Burgundy region. Capital ( seat of the prefecture ) is Auxerre.

It consists of 22 cantons and 197 municipalities.

Before 1926

From 1800 ( the year VIII of the Revolution) and 1926 consisted of the district today cantons, with the exception of Aillant -sur -Tholon, Bléneau, Brienon -sur -Armançon, Charny, Joigny and Saint- Fargeau that work to the now-defunct Arrondissement Joigny included.
