Arrondissement of Provins

The Arrondissement Provins is an administrative unit of the department of Seine- et- Marne in the French region of Ile- de -France. Capital ( seat of the Prefecture) is Provins.

With effect from 1 January 2006, the cantons were Rebais (previously Arrondissement Meaux ) and Rozay -en- Brie (formerly Melun Arrondissement ) assigned to the Arrondissement Provins.

The district consists of nine cantons and 165 municipalities.
