Arroscia

The Arroscia is a larger Torrent River in the northern Italian region of Liguria. It is approximately 38 kilometers long and flows through the provinces of Imperia and Savona. The source of the Arroscia is at Passo della Guardia, in the Ligurian Alps. Of the over 2000 meter high source it flows in a part far buried river bed in the Ligurian level and forms a picturesque waterfall in Mendatica.

In Pieve di Teco Arroscia the left hand receives the influx of Arrogna and right sides of the Giara di Rezzonico. This opens also the far -carrying, valley of the same, and after the river Borghetto d' Arroscia has traversed it enters the province of Savona.

At the height of Villanova d' Albenga the Arroscia reached the Ligurian level and increased again by the right tributary of the Lerrone its own volume of water. In the plane reached the gravel bed of the river expanded considerably. Near the town of Albenga the Arroscia eventually flows together with the Neva to form the river Centa.

Like the Centa is drawn (mainly in autumn) after heavy rains due to enormous amounts of water, the Arroscia. In the summer months it is on the other hand, as is characteristic for Torrente, largely dried up.
