Art Paul

Arthur Paul (called type ) ( born January 18, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American graphic designer.

Life

Paul studied from 1940 to 1943 at the Art Institute of Chicago and then at the Institute of Design ( 1946-1950 ).

The distinguishing feature of Mr. magazine Playboy, the "Bunny" is thanks to Art Paul. The first Art Director of Playboy created in 1953 the famous bunny head with ears and bow tie. This logo adorns since the second issue of Playboy, the cover sheet.

1986 Art Paul was solemnly received into the Hall of Fame of the Art Directors Club of New York.
