Artbook

Artbooks are merchandising products to anime, manga or video games in which colored motifs created or previously unpublished drawings of the respective series are published.

Artbooks are normally published in a larger format, often 24 cm × 30 cm, produced, and often contain high-gloss color pages that are printed in high quality. The images used in Artbooks be partially drawn specially for this. Usually a artbook also includes a black / white part, are included in the designs of figures, backgrounds, storyboards, and the like, which should give an overall impression of the artistic work that was put into this anime or manga.

Widely used are also photo books and film comics, in which images of the anime are reproduced, in the latter, the images are supplemented with speech bubbles. Photo Books are often printed in paperback format.
