Artem Anisimov

Artem Anisimov Alekseyevich (Russian Артём Алексеевич Анисимов; born 24 May 1988 in Yaroslavl, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player. Since July 2012, he stands at the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Artem Anisimov began his career in his hometown to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. There he first played in the second team. From the season 2006/ 07 he belonged to the tribe of the first team of Yaroslavl.

After being selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2006 in the second round to 54th place by the New York Rangers, he played one more season in his home country before he took the step towards North America for the season 2007/ 08 and at the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League regular player was. In the 2008 /09 season, the striker was top scorer with 81 points in Hartford. In the course of the season Anisimov was appointed twice by the New York Rangers in the NHL squad.

On July 23, 2012, he was transferred along with Brandon Dubinsky and Tim Erixon and a first-round vote for the NHL Entry Draft in 2013 to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The New York Rangers got in return Rick Nash, Steven Delisle and a third-round draft pick.

Due to the NHL lockout Anisimov played from September to December 2012 for his local club Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Internationally

Anisimov represented his home country Russia between 2006 and 2008 for a total of three Junior World Championships. He won a silver and a bronze. He also played in the Super Series 2007.
