Artem Wolodymyrowytsch Milewskyj (Ukrainian Артем Мілевський; born January 12, 1985 in Mazyr, Byelorussian SSR) is a Ukrainian football player.

Despite its stately height Artem Milewskyj is a fairly light-footed and fast striker.

Career

Association

Milewskyj actually comes from the youth of his hometown club Smena Minsk and played in the U-16 selection even for his native Belarus. Thereafter, however, the young striker took the Ukrainian citizenship and moved only to unterklassigen club Borisfen Boryspil and then to Dynamo Kiev. There he was immediately in the root of the second team, but played in 2002 already 6 times in the Wyschtscha Liha, the top league of Ukraine. Since 2005 he played regularly in the first team of the Kiev and 2007 he was promoted to regulars.

Shortly before the end of the transfer window undertook Gaziantepspor of Turkey Milewsky. Born in White Russian was last out of contract and has signed a three year contract and will wear shirt number 77.

National

For Ukraine, he also played at the Junior European Championships 2006 in the U-21 national team. His performance for the tournament finalists was so convincing that he was appointed to the senior team and was recorded without a single international match in the World Cup squad of Ukraine for the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany. He was also used and was one of the successful shooters in the penalty shootout, which brought Ukraine to the quarterfinals. Since then Milewskyj denied already 17 games in which he was able to achieve two goals.
