Artful Dodger (also The Artful Dodger ) is a British R & B and UK garage band from Southampton, which was known by its 2-Step hits and Craig David's career has been a push by the vocals of their hit Re - Rewind took over in December 1999.

History

The band originally consisted of Mark Hill and Pete Devereux, but Devereux left them before release of the single Twenty Four Seven. Hill produced it and continue under the name Artful Dodger. The project, which then consisted of Mark Hill and MC Alistair, was joined by producer and DJ Dave Low. For the vocals could be artists such as Craig David, win Melanie Blatt ( All Saints ) and Romina Johnson. Many songs of the band can compilations of UK garage CD series Pure Garage, mixed by DJ EZ, be found.

The band's name comes from a character from Charles Dickens ' novel Oliver Twist, Jack Dawkins, who is also known as the Artful Dodger in the original.
