Arthrobacter

Arthrobacter chlorophenolicus

Arthrobacter is a genus of living in the soil aerobic bacteria with high GC content, which have a pronounced resistance to dehydration and lack of food. They have the ability, phenols, herbicides, and other organic compounds ( such as nicotine or caffeine ) to reduce, and therefore, play an essential role in the detoxification of soils.

They are gram- positive and are characterized by a complex life cycle in which they evolve from a Kokkenform to chopsticks.
