Arthur A. Ross

Arthur A. Ross ( born February 4, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, † November 11, 2008 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American screenwriter.

Life

Ross worked as a screenwriter in the mid- 1940s. In the 1950s he turned his attention increasingly to the television. In 1963 he was honored for a series of power series Mystery Theater with the Edgar Allan Poe Award.

For the script to Brubaker 1981 he was nominated along with WD Richter for the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

His 1956 born son Gary Ross is also active as a screenwriter.
