Arthur Abele

Arthur Abele ( born July 30, 1986 in Mutlangen ) is a German decathlete.

2005, the then starting for the TSV Huettlingen athlete in Kaunas with 7634 points runner- European Junior Champion. In 2007 he won the all-around sports festival in Ratingen with a personal best of 8269 points and qualified for the World Championships in Osaka. There, he finished with 8243 points in ninth place.

In 2008 he was second in Ratingen and qualified with 8372 points for the Olympic Games in Beijing. There he was forced to retire due to injury.

The end of 2008 joined Arthur Abele from SSV Ulm 1846 within the Württemberg Athletics Association to VfL Sindelfingen. At a height of 1.84 m his competition weight is 80 kg. His strongest disciplines are the hurdles and the 1500 -meter run. He has still mainly in the discus and shot put weaknesses.

In 2009 he came because of an injury not in the form, so he did not manage to qualify for the World Athletics Championships in Berlin.

After years of bad luck with injuries and unfinished More fights, successes came in the summer of 2013 again. In June, the decathlete scored 8,151 points, and at the German -around championships in position he won with 8,251 points.
