The Arthur Ashe Stadium is the main stadium ( Centre Court ) of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, the venue for the U.S. Open. Built in 1997, it was named after died of AIDS American tennis player Arthur Ashe.

The Arthur Ashe Stadium, the largest tennis stadium at Flushing Meadows, and the largest pure tennis stadium in the world. The Court offers 22,547 square fans.

On August 16, 2013, the USTA published plans that provide a roof structure for the stadium. These alterations, which will cost 100 million U.S. dollars will be completed in 2017.
