Arthur " Tuur " De Cabooter, also Arthur Decabooter, ( born October 3, 1936 in Welden, † 26 May 2012) was a Belgian racing cyclist.

1955 won Arthur De Cabooter as an amateur, the British race Grand Prix of Essex and in the same year, the Tour of Flanders for amateurs. In 1958 he won the Tour of Flanders for a second time, this time in the category of independents.

From 1959 to 1967 De was Cabooter professional. As a true " Flandrien " continued and he won numerous criteria in his home country. In 1960 he won the Tour of Flanders the pros and cross through Flanders. In the same year he won the points classification of the Vuelta and the eighth and 15th stage and finished tenth overall; Milan - Sanremo, he finished in fourth place. In 1961 he won the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, the Grote Prijs Briek bulkheads and in the eleventh stage of the Vuelta. In 1964 he was the first to Kuurne -Brussels- Kuurne, the Omloop van het Houtland and 1965 at Nokere Koerse.

1966 Arthur De Cabooter won two stages of the Tour of Andalusia and one of the Four Days of Dunkirk. 1962, 1963 and 1964 he also started in the Tour de France, but never arrived in Paris. 1967 ended in Flanders extremely popular racing his active cycling career in Kuipke before 7000 spectators. Up in the great age he drove at least 40 kilometers with my friends bike every day; on such a bike ride along the Scheldt between Oudenaarde and Zingem he died of a heart attack.

Arthur De Cabooter was a brother of Walter Godefroot; their wives are sisters.
