Arthur Felix

Arthur Felix ( born April 3, 1887 in Wadowice, † 17 January 1956 in England ) was a bacteriologist.

Arthur Felix worked and conducted research among others in Bielsko, Vienna, Prague and London. Along with Edmund, because he developed in 1915, the Weil-Felix reaction for the detection of spotted fever and other rickettsial diseases in the urine. From 1921 to 1925 Felix worked in Jerusalem for the Hadassah Medical Organization. In 1925 he returned to London and worked for the Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine.

The A. Felix Public Health Laboratories in Tel Aviv is named after him.
