Arthur II, Duke of Brittany

Arthur II (* July 2, 1262; † August 27, 1312 ) was Duke of Brittany and Count of Penthièvre from 1305 until his death.

He was the eldest son of Duke John II and Beatrice of England, a daughter of King Henry III .. Upon his father's death in 1305 he inherited the Duchy of Brittany and the county Penthièvre.

Arthur was married twice. His first wife was the year 1275 Maria ( * 1260, † 1291 ), heir to the Vice- county Limoges, his second wife since 1292 Yolande of Dreux (* 1263, † 1322), heiress of the county of Montfort l'Amaury.
