Arthur Pauli

Arthur Pauli ( born May 14, 1989 in Ehenbichl ) is a former Austrian ski jumper Polish descent. He currently works as a trainer for the Austrian Ski Federation. His residence is Ehrwald.

Career

Pauli started for the SC Ehrwald. He attended the Skihandelsschule Stams. At the Junior World Championships 2005 in Rovaniemi, he won the silver medal in singles. A year later he won in Kranj with the Austrian team competition in the team competition. On 4 January 2007 he gave his debut in Innsbruck in the Ski Jumping World Cup. His best World Cup results are in sixth place in the last competition of the Four Hills Tournament 2006/ 07 in Bischofshofen and also sixth place on 7 February 2007 in Klingenthal. On 11 February 2007, he won with his compatriots Andreas Kofler, Wolfgang Loitzl and Gregor Schlierenzauer the team jumping in Willingen.

For the 2008/ 09 season he was demoted from the Austrian national ski jumping team in the A-team. In May 2008, he fell so hard that he was unconscious for a few hours at the mat training in Bischofshofen. He was taken to hospital, where a severe concussion, a severe lung contusion, and multiple bruises and shoulder fractures were diagnosed. After that he took part in any World Cup competition in some more. In September 2010, Paul announced his retirement from competitive sport.

In summer 2011 he was in charge as head coach of Dutch jumpers for both the ladies and for the men's squad. In June 2013 he moved back to the Austrians and was in the squad base Innsbruck.
