Arthur Schnabel

Arthur Schnabel ( born September 16, 1947 in silence) is a German judoka and sumo wrestlers.

Life and career

Arthur Schnabel grew up in Mannheim and is a baker and confectioner. He operates in Mannheim, a fitness center and a bakery and pastry shop.

Sports

Bill is a member of the first Mannheim Judo clubs. He won in judo seven German and five international championships. At the European Championships 1976-1984, he won seven medals. 1983 and 1984 he won the European Cup. The highlight of his career was winning the bronze medal in the open class at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. In the same year he was honored with the Silver Laurel Leaf. 6th Dan, he was awarded in 1992.

Then Schnabel began as a sumo wrestler. Here he won the 1995 and 1997 German Cup. He also won three medals at the European Championships in the same period.

In 2007, he was still active and won the gold medal at the ü30 Judo European Championships in Sindelfingen in the M7 class.
