Artificial Intelligence System

Artificial Intelligence system was a project for distributed computing ( distributed computing ) Intelligence Realm of the Canadian company with the goal of creating a large computer system with artificial intelligence.

For this purpose, the client program BOINC invited down the user's so-called work units and edited this in the background. Each Work Unit simulated doing more than 100,000 nerve cells. Client computers were given one month to process, allocated Work Unit. If the Work Unit expected to end, the client program sends the results back to the server. The results were also used commercially to speed up development. It could take computer with the operating systems Windows, Linux or Mac OS X on the project. It was also planned in collaboration with the GPU vendors AMD and Nvidia to develop applications to also calculate workunits of the GPUs. In the GPUs from Nvidia CUDA technology would have used, which is directly supported by BOINC (version 6.4.5 ).
