Arts et Métiers (Paris Métro)

Arts et Métiers ( dt: Arts and Sciences ) is an underground station of lines 3 and 11 of the Paris Métro. It is located in the 3rd arrondissement below the Rue de Turbigo. Near the station is the eponymous Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers.

The station was taken on October 19, 1904, with an opening of the line 3 in operation. These perverted then at the Villiers- Père Lachaise section. On 28 April 1935, the station of the line opened 11. Until the central station Châtelet there are about two kilometers.

Equipment

The platform of the line 11 is clad with copper and remembers with indicated portholes on the inside of the fictional submarine Nautilus from the Jules Verne novel, suitable to the nearby Museum of Technology Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers.
