Artur Kotenko

Artur Kotenko ( born August 20, 1981 in Tallinn) is an Estonian football player.

Career

Association

Artur Kotenko began his career in 1992, where he played one year in the youth team of FC Puuma. Only in 1998 he got his first professional contract with KSK vigri Tallinn. However, after more sporadic operations in 1999, he moved to city rivals FC Lantana Tallinn, but after only ten missions he transferred a year later to Kauhajoen Karhu. Having first played between 2000 and 2001 for FC Levadia Tallinn, which was then called FC Levadia Maardu, and then for JK Vaprus Pärnu, he returned in January 2001 back to FC Levadia Tallinn, where he witnessed the breakthrough of his career. There he won with his team the Estonian Football Supercup 2001 and the Meistriliiga 2004, 2006 and 2007. After 142 league games and a league goal he left in December 2007, the club towards Norway Sandnes Ulf. However, after only a year, he left the club again and completed a two-week trial with English club Nottingham Forest. However, no change came about. Then he signed on 9 February 2009 contract with Viking Stavanger. It was only on October 25, he completed his league debut, but had only 25 minutes with a red card from the field after he had played the ball out of a 16 -meter space by hand. In July 2010 he moved to Cypriot club AE Paphos, where he signed a one year contract, with an option for another year. In July 2011, he left the Mediterranean island of Cyprus and moved in August 2011 to the Azerbaijani first division club FK Ravan Baku. Back in October, and after four inserts in the Premyer Liqasi the current contract was dissolved. In January 2012 he signed a contract with FF Jaro from the Finnish First Division until season's end. In 2013 he signed for Dnjapro Mogilev of Belarus for one season.

National

Kotenko played in 2004 for the first time in the Estonian national football team. Since then, he played 26 international appearances for his country.
