Artur Partyka

Artur Jerzy Partyka ( born July 25, 1969 in Stalowa Wola ) is a former Polish athlete.

Partyka was one of the world's best high jumper of the 1990s. In this decade he reached at all international championships, where he started, podiums. His most successful season was in 1996, when he was in Atlanta with 2.37 m won the silver medal behind the American Charles Austin at the Olympic Games. Two weeks later he presented the high jump meeting in Eberstadt on the valid to this day Polish record of 2.38 m.

Partyka won from 1989 to 1999 twelve Polish Champion title in a row. At a height of 1.92 m, it had a competition weight of 72 kg. Artur Partyka is married and has one daughter.
