The Offensive allrounder played since 1993 in the Polish league at Lech Poznan ( 1993-1996) and Widzew (1996-1999 ) until the former DSC Arminia Bielefeld Scout Gerd Roggensack recognized his talent and convinced him to move to the Bundesliga.
