Arve Furset

Arve Furset ( born December 5, 1964 in Sunnfjord ) is a Norwegian jazz pianist and keyboardist - composer and music producer.

Life

Furset studied from 1983 to 1985 Music at the University of Trondheim. Until 1989 he was a member of the band Bodega, 1986-87 member of the group Saz Semai and 1989-90 he was a member of the band by Ernst- Wiggo Sandbakk. He also worked at this time regularly with three other groups: the First Set Quintet, with whom he performed at festivals in Lillehammer, Voss and Moldavia, the trio Konerne ved Vandposten and the folk group Orleysa. From 1999, he toured with Eivind Aarsets group Electronique Noire. In the late 1990s he also worked with pop musicians like the group Flava to da bone and Lynni Treekrem.

In addition Furset was orchestra leader and composer of the Trøndelag Theater and participated in more than thirty tours of the ensemble. Later he worked at the Central Theatre and the Theatre in Oslo Nye and worked as a composer, arranger and composer in the big Saturday night shows of NRK1.

As a music producer Furset works in the field of dance music, the retro-pop, world music and electro. He wrote and produced two tracks that could be placed in the national preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest, and the title I'm not afraid to go one, with Jostein Hasselgård took fourth place at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2003.
