Arvis Piziks

Arvis Piziks ( born September 12, 1969 in Gulbene ) is a former Latvian road racing cyclist.

Arvis Piziks started in 1992 at the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona in the road race, where he finished in eighth place. In 1995, he turned professional at the Dutch cycling team Novell, who drove from 1996 under the name Rabobank. At the Olympics in Atlanta in 1996, he was 18th in the road race. In 1998 Piziks to the Danish Team Home - Jack & Jones, who later became Team CSC. In 2000 he started for the first time in the Tour de France and managed there four top - ten finishes. At the Olympic Games in Sydney, he was 22 in the road race. In 2002 he was again in the Tour de France at the start and was in two parts ninth. End of the 2003 season ended Piziks his career.
