Aryepiglottic fold
The aryepiglottic fold ( lat. aryepiglottic fold ) is a fold of mucous membrane in the throat ( pharynx ). It is an anatomical subsite of the hypopharynx and extends on both sides of the epiglottis to the arytenoid cartilage ( cartilage arytaenoides ). It forms the lateral margin of the laryngeal inlet ( laryngeal aditus ).
On the aryepiglottic folds are two small surveys: The cuneiform tubercle and the tubercle corniculatum.
The aryepiglottic folds are added at the throat singing undertones in the undertone along with the vocal cords to vibrate.
