Young and Passionate - How Funny People ( As the World Turns ) is an American television series that aired on the television Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS). The series was broadcast on 54 years, the second longest soap opera in the world. In the list of the longest TV series merely Springfield Story finds this TV series. Nevertheless, to phase out the series on 9 December 2009, the home network CBS announced and thus ran the very last episode on September 17, 2010. A special feature of As the World Turns is that the rights to her since the beginning of 1956 Procter & Gamble include that until the last mission produced the show and sponsored.
General
The television series aired since April 2, 1956 in the United States on CBS. More than 13,400 episodes were produced. The idea of the series was by Irna Phillips. The episodes of the program were in the early years, for 30 minutes; later they were extended to 60 minutes. The program is currently broadcast internationally outside the United States only in Canada on Global TV and NTV in Newfoundland and Labrador and in the Netherlands on RTL 4 since 1990 and on RTL 8 since 2007. In Germany, the series was aired some time only by RTLplus and from 1993 by VOX.
Action
