Asbury is a small town ( with a status of "City" ) in Dubuque County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Iowa. In 2010, Asbury had 4170 inhabitants.

Geography

Asbury is located at 42 ° 30'52 " north latitude and 90 ° 45'05 " west longitude and extending over 6.88 km ². The city is located mainly in the Dubuque Township, but extends to a small extent to the west adjacent to Center Township.

Asbury is located in the western suburbs of Dubuque. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with Illinois and Wisconsin, is located nine kilometers east. Other neighboring towns are Peosta (14,4 km southwest), Durango (6.3 km north- north-west ) and Sage Ville (7.2 km north-east ).
